We aim to deliver fresh products and a smooth experience. Since many items are perishable and time-sensitive, our policy balances fairness with operational realities.
1) Order Cancellation
- Non-cancellable:
- Customized/Personalized items (e.g., photo cakes, printed mugs).
- Perishables once preparation/dispatch has started (e.g., fresh flowers, same-day/early morning/midnight deliveries).
- Standard orders:
- May be cancelled only if not dispatched/prepared, typically within 1–2 hours of ordering.
- Refunds for approved cancellations:
- Processed to the original payment method (Card/UPI/NetBanking/Wallet).
- Typical credit: 3–5 working days (can take up to 7 depending on bank/payment gateway).
- Coupons/Promos: Discount value is non-refundable.
- COD: Any approved cancellation is refunded as Store Wallet Credit.
To request a cancellation, email support@cakesnearme.in with your Order ID immediately.
2) Returns & Damages (Report within 24 hours)
If your order is damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us within 24 hours of delivery with:
- Clear photos/video of the product, outer box, and shipping label.
- Order ID and a short description of the issue.
Eligible resolutions (after verification):
- Replacement of the same/similar product (subject to availability & slot).
- Full refund to the original payment method (or Wallet Credit for COD).
- Partial refund/compensation when a full replacement/refund isn’t feasible (case-by-case).
For fresh items, returns pickup is generally not required; evidence review suffices.
3) Non-Refundable / Not Eligible Scenarios
- Incorrect/incomplete address, wrong PIN, or customer-requested address change too late to process.
- Recipient unavailable/unreachable, premises closed, or delivery refused.
- Quality complaints after 24 hours of delivery (perishables).
- Taste preference or minor color/design variations due to seasonal availability.
- Force majeure delays (extreme weather, strikes, access restrictions, containment zones).
4) Refund Timeline (after approval)
- We initiate refunds within 24 hours of approval.
- Bank/gateway timelines: 3–5 working days typical, up to 7 in some cases.
- You’ll receive a confirmation email once the refund is initiated.
5) Return Shipping
- Perishables (flowers, cakes, same-day items): Not returnable once delivered.
- Non-perishable gifts: May be return-eligible only with prior approval and in unused, original condition; shipping back is customer’s responsibility unless we specify otherwise.
- No pickups for remote locations or international orders; we’ll advise the best available resolution.
6) Substitutions Policy (Fresh Products)
To ensure on-time delivery, we may substitute flowers, fillers, or packaging with equal or higher value items when exact variants are unavailable, maintaining the overall look and value.

No—these are non-cancellable once placed due to immediate preparation.
Q3: I used a coupon. Will that be refunded?
Coupons/discounts are non-refundable. Refunds apply to the amount paid post-discount.
Q4: How long do refunds take?
We initiate within 24 hours of approval. Banks/gateways usually credit in 3–5 working days (sometimes up to 7).
Q5: Do you accept returns for flowers?
Perishable items (flowers/cakes) are not returnable after delivery; we resolve issues via evidence-based replacement/refund.
